Account Deletion

You can delete your GPS4YOU PET account and data yourself, in the app, in about a minute.

Delete your account in the app

  1. Open GPS4YOU PET and tap More.
  2. Tap Account, then Delete account.
  3. Review the list: it shows the pets that will be deleted (the ones you own) and the pets you only share, which will simply disappear from your account.
  4. Type your email address to confirm, then confirm the deletion.

Once you confirm, the deletion starts right away and cannot be undone.

What is deleted

  • Your account: name, email, phone number and sign-in details.
  • The pets you own, with their profile, photo, Safe Zones, alerts, walks, activity and location history. [confirm the server deletes all of this]
  • Your push notification token and your family sharing links.

Pets that someone else owns and shared with you are not deleted. They just lose you as a viewer.

Data on your phone

The app's own data on your phone (sign-in token, saved last positions and pet photos) is removed when you sign out or delete your account. Deleting the app also removes it. Files you saved yourself, such as shared screenshots, stay where you put them.

What we may keep

Where the law requires it, such as invoices and tax records, we keep limited data for the legally required period and then delete it. Backups are overwritten within [backup retention, e.g. 30 days]. Your tracker hardware is yours and is not affected.

Can't use the app?

Email [privacy@gps4you-pet.pl] from the address registered on your account with the subject “Delete my account”. We may ask you to confirm it is you. We will complete the request and confirm within one month at most, and usually much sooner. If another company runs your server, send the request to them.

Before you delete

  • Want to keep your pet's history? Ask us first for a copy of your data.
  • If you have an active paid plan bought through Apple, cancel it in your Apple ID subscription settings. Deleting the account does not cancel an App Store subscription.
  • Signing out or uninstalling the app does not delete your account.
